One of the earliest known tropical fruits, the mango originated in the foothills of the Himalayas in India and Burma.

Cultivated for more the 4,000 years, it is now grown in both tropical and sub-tropical areas of the world.

Increasingly popular in the West, mangoes are packed with nutrients, supplying good amounts of vitamin C, manganese, beta carotene and easily digested carbohydrate.
